The smooth and low resistance gliding is achieved by a unique top rail assembly design: a stainless steel rod on which four large stainless steel wheels roll. The wheels, which are attached to the sliding door, hold firmly to the top and bottom of the rod thus fully supporting the glass panel. Because of the top rail's supporting role and heavy lifting, the manufacturer recommends attaching its wall bracket directly to a stud or a preinstalled 2x6 wood reinforcement behind the wall. It has to be mentioned that because the enclosures are completely frameless, there is no room for out-of-plumb or out-of-square adjustments. The walls have to be perfectly even and plumb, also they need to be square with the base. The Enigma enclosures are reversible which means that they can be installed in a left or right corner. They are made out of 1/2" thick, clear tempered glass which has been factory treated with DreamLine's exclusive ClearGlass for superior protection and easy maintenance. The enclosures are 79" tall and their visible hardware comes in two finishes: polished and brushed stainless steel. To assure a long lasting finish the owner needs to wipe off the metal parts after each use with a soft cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or cleaning products containing ammonia, bleach or acid. If accidentally used, the surface needs to be rinsed as soon as possible to prevent finish corrosion. After cleaning the shiny finishes, they need to be rinsed thoroughly and wiped dry with soft cloth. When applying stainless steel cleaner or polish never use abrasive sponge or cloth, steel wool or wired brushes. |
