The range hoods are crafted from 19 gauge stainless steel in satin finish. The steel used in the hoods' construction is austenitic; in other words, it is non-magnetic. Such a stainless steel has superior rust resistance in comparison to magnetic stainless steels. This is an especially welcome characteristic since the range hoods are exposed to extremely moist conditions in kitchen environments. The hoods come equipped with dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters, making it easy to clean them; also, thanks to their longevity, there is no need to replace them as it is a case with mash aluminum filters. The motor used in XtremeAir range hoods is ultra-quiet and capable of moving up to 900 cubic feet of air per minute. There are 4 preset blower speeds that are controlled by touch sensitive buttons; the current blower speed setting is displayed on the LCD panel. The noise levels produced by the blower are no louder than a normal conversation. The model PX02-W30 has a 29 1/2" wide by 20 1/2" deep canopy with two 2W LED lights. The telescopic chimney extends from 15 3/8" to 30 1/4" (measured from the top of the canopy). The canopy is 13" tall; the overall height of the range hood is from 28 3/8" to 43 3/8" tall. The range hood is designed for 8 to 9 feet ceilings; however the measurement that needs to be taken into consideration is the distance between the cooktop and the bottom of the canopy which is recommended to be between 26" and 30" for efficient air evacuation from the cooking area. |
